Non-Blogging, Stop

I think my computer is on the verge of expiring. Regular blogging will probably not resume until I can afford to replace it. I do not know when that will be. In the meantime, take care.

Please Stand By

I am experiencing technical difficulties with my computer, as well as the usual difficulties of being who I am as I try to exist in these space-time coordinates. My blogging will resume as soon as possible, probably even more sporadically than before, but such is Whatever This Is Called. If you are a living being who reads what I write, thank you for being there, somewhere. It means something to reach someone, even if I never know I reached anyone.

Perhaps.

Be seeing you...

Delayed Phantasticality

My blogs have been quieter than I like, and although I addressed the situation (here and here) in Lawful Great, my gaming blog directory, I thought it would not be unreasonable to mention it here in my oldest surviving—and most visited—blog.

From "Blogging Month in Review: January 2025":

As I predicted, my capacity to blog is greatly diminished by concerns that outweigh my devotion to this beloved hobby. I shall strive to recapture the joy and sense of refuge it has always provided me in the past, and that might involve a more classic approach (doing more in-person gaming, going to conventions, and perhaps even moving toward a more traditional method of fan publication and distribution—the zine) in combination with a newer (or less classic) approach such as making YouTube videos. What this will mean to my fleet of blogs depends on the course of events that are beyond my control. Those who push generative a.i. are at war with everyone who writes, performs, or creates art. As long as our work is not protected and we are not compensated, I am reluctant to share it with anyone I do not personally know and trust. We are heading into a dismal age that may outlast us all. I hope we can change course.

Peace and Enlightenment.

Be seeing you?

Glitch, Sabotage, or Self-Sabotage?

I just noticed that when one clicks the icon of a follower of one's blog (of the blogspot variety), the pop-up still shows the list of other blogs followed by that person, but it no longer displays that follower's own blogs. I cannot fathom a reason for this, but it certainly doesn't benefit anyone. It would be nice if one could be allowed to follow a follower's blog in return. It's one way to help keep blogging alive... I consider that a good thing...
